This week the Greensource management staff travelled to Columbus, Ohio to attend the 2013 CENTS trade show and the Ohio State University’s nursery short course & conference. The conference offers a huge trade show floor which includes exhibitors from a wide variety of industry specific and related supply, equipment, technology and sustainable worldwide and nationally recognized professional vendors. In its 85 years, the Ohio State University’s nursery short course has been a constant source of top-notch, unbiased, progressive education for the horticulture and landscape industry. Green industry professionals such as Greensource, travel from all over the country to benefit from the expansive and diverse education presented.
Along with the above benefits and interests we enjoy the annual conference because it allows for a great team building experience and offers the ability for our staff to discuss business and strategy away from our everyday lives. There is also no better place to network with our peers, educators and industry friends on what the future of our industry holds.
One of the most exciting parts of our trip was the sense of pride our team shared as we walked through the trade show floor only to find that multiple low voltage lighting supply companies were using high resolution pictures on their displays of a project that Greensource designed, installed and maintains. It was very cool to see that others respect and enjoy our work as much as we do.
